Privacy Policy
Effective 30 July 2026. This policy explains how World STEM Federation handles information for public visitors and registered competition participants.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect the email address and profile details you provide during registration and student onboarding.
When you use the WSF AI Competition workspace, we store team membership, project drafts, AI interaction logs you submit, and submission metadata required for judging.
We also process limited technical information needed to secure and operate the service, such as authentication events and error diagnostics.
How we use information
We use account information to authenticate you, assign roles, and operate competition workflows.
We use submission and AI log data to administer the competition, support judges, and maintain an auditable record of student work.
Service providers and disclosure
We use contracted hosting, authentication, database, email, and monitoring providers to operate the platform. They may process information only to provide those services and under their applicable data-protection terms.
We do not sell participant personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect platform security, or as part of a program investigation conducted under WSF rules.
Young participants
WSF programs may involve participants under 18. Schools, program organizers, and parents or guardians should provide any authorization required in the participant's location before a young person creates an account or submits personal information.
Participants should not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in project drafts, AI logs, or team content.
Retention, access, and deletion
We retain account and competition records only for as long as needed to operate the program, preserve competition integrity, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing info@worldstemfederation.org. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited records where law or competition-integrity obligations require it.
Security and international processing
We use role-based access controls, authenticated services, and other reasonable safeguards intended to protect participant information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, WSF will use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Questions and updates

We may update this policy as programs or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
