1st Level - WSF Academy

Innovator

The Innovator accreditation is the entry point for burgeoning private academies intent on revolutionizing STEM education. It recognizes and supports academies that are in the early stages of offering innovative STEM services to schools. It serves as a critical steppingstone, offering legitimacy and structure to these fledgling institutions. Being accredited under this level not only validates their mission but also propels them towards greater visibility and efficacy in the educational marketplace. It marks the beginning of a journey towards excellence, where emerging academies are nurtured to become future leaders in STEM education.

2nd Level - WSF Academy

Leader

‘Leader’ is the second level in the WSF accreditation process, awarded to academies that have secured a strong position in STEM education. This accreditation reflects a move from foundational to more expansive and intricate STEM programs. Leader accredited academies are acknowledged for their broader curriculum, adoption of innovative teaching strategies, and initial impactful community engagement in STEM. It’s tailored for institutions showing significant growth and potential in STEM education.

3rd Level - WSF Academy

Premier

The Premier accreditation represents a high level of accomplishment within the accreditation program. It’s conferred upon institutions that are leading and shaping the field of STEM education. Trendsetter academies stand out for their advanced programs, influential role in STEM education, and setting of new educational standards. This accreditation by the WSF celebrates institutions that have excelled in innovative teaching, professional development, and sustainable growth in STEM.

4th Level - WSF Academy

Excellence

‘Excellence’ is the highest level of accreditation, recognizing the elite in STEM education institutions. This prestigious honor is reserved for academies that exemplify unmatched excellence in STEM education. Excellence accredited academies are renowned for their global impact, innovative educational models, and significant contributions to STEM research and innovation. As global leaders, these institutions set the highest standards in STEM education and are pivotal in shaping the industry’s future.

WSF Accreditation Requirements for Skill Development Academies

Academies must upload a brief document outlining their STEM programme. This should include:

  1. The STEM programme objectives and how it prepares students for industry or further education.
  2. Summarize the subjects, modules, and certifications offered, with an emphasis on hands-on learning and industry relevance
  3. The pedagogical teaching methods used, such as practical workshops or project-based learning.
  4. Assessment methods, key student achievements, and any industry placements or certifications earned.
  5. Any unique practices and future developments in the STEM programme.

This document provides an overview of how the academy’s STEM programme operates, its impact on students, and its alignment with industry needs.

Academies are required to upload photos and detailed descriptions of their STEM lab / center setup to provide insight into the learning environment where STEM education is delivered. The document should include:

  1. Visuals/Layout Description: Include clear photos of the STEM lab, showing workstations, equipment, and tools. Add a written description of the lab’s layout, key areas, and organization.
  2. Equipment and Tools: Highlight specific equipment and tools supporting STEM activities, such as computers, robotics kits, 3D printers, AR/VR kits, and science experiment kits.
  3. Workstations and Student Interaction: Describe how workstations promote hands-on learning and collaboration. Photos should show student interactions during STEM projects.
  4. Safety and Accessibility: If relevant, discuss safety and accessibility features in the lab, including fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and design elements that ensure accessibility for all students.

This document helps the evaluation team understand the environment in which your academy delivers STEM education and the resources available to students for practical learning.

Academies must upload a detailed document listing the schools and institutions where they have facilitated STEM activities. The document should include:

  1. Institution Name: The full name of each school or institution where STEM programmes or activities were conducted.
  2. Location: The location of each institution (city, state, country).
  3. Type of STEM Activities: Description of the type of STEM activities conducted at each institution, such as workshops, competitions, hands-on labs, or mentorship programmes.
  4. Dates: The dates or time periods when the STEM activities took place.
  5. Impact: The total number of students who participated in the STEM programme or activities at each institution.

This document helps WSF evaluate the academy’s outreach and involvement in promoting STEM education across various institutions.

Academies must submit a document listing the key faculty members involved in the STEM programme. The purpose of this document is to provide information on the academic and professional qualifications of the teaching staff. The document should include the following:

  1. Faculty Names: The full names of all STEM faculty members .
  2. Qualifications: Each faculty member’s academic qualifications, certifications, and specialized STEM training (e.g., Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) and other relevant certifications (e.g., professional certifications in STEM fields).
  3. Experience: Years of teaching, experience with specific technologies/methodologies, or prior relevant STEM specific experience.
  4. Role Details (Optional): You can include the specific role or responsibility each faculty member holds within the STEM programme (e.g., Centre Head, Curriculum Head, Domain Specialists / Instructors etc.)

The information provided will help assess the expertise and capabilities of the teaching staff, ensuring they meet the standards required for delivering quality STEM education.

Academy must upload a document providing details of the STEM-related competitions their students have participated in. This document should include the following information:

  1. Name & Details: List the competition’s full name, the exact date/date-range during which it took place and venue (physical or virtual).
  2. Participation and Achievements (Optional but recommended): Academy can optionally include details about the students’ participation, achievements, or awards earned in the competition, providing additional context on the impact and success of their STEM programme.

This document helps WSF evaluate the Academy’s involvement in promoting STEM activities through competitions, as well as the level of student engagement and achievement.

WSF Accreditation for Level 3 (Premier Academy) and Level 4 (Excellence Academy) will only be granted if the applicant Academy has already been pre-accredited by WSF for the preceding levels.

Academies that are currently accredited by WSF are required to upload a copy of their Pre-Accreditation Certificate issued by WSF. This certificate contains the official WSF Accreditation Membership Number and serves as proof of the Academy’s accreditation status.

This document is necessary for WSF to verify your existing accreditation and ensure proper tracking of your membership. Academies applying for renewal or a new accreditation level must provide this certificate to confirm their prior accreditation.

Process to Apply

Step 1: Registration

Register on the WSF Accreditation Application link by clicking the “Join Now”

  • Create an account with email, institutional and contact details.
  • Verify your account through a confirmation email sent to your registered address.

You will be directed to the application form. Provide all current institutional & leadership details.

  • Institutional Data: Name, address, year of establishment, and type of institution.
  • Leadership Details: Key leadership figures, such as the Principal, Head of STEM, and other relevant leaders.

Each section in the application will specify what documents are needed. Ensure that the files are labeled clearly:

  • Overview of the STEM Programme
  • Photos or Descriptions of the STEM Lab Setup
  • Faculty Details (Name and Qualification)
  • Competition Details (Name, Date, and Location)
  • Pre-Accreditation Certificate (if applicable)

You will have the option to upload multiple files for each section if necessary.

In this step, applicants are required to review and acknowledge several key points before submitting their application:

  • Accuracy of Information: By proceeding, applicants confirm that all the information and documents provided are accurate, truthful, and complete to the best of their knowledge.
  • Privacy and Data Protection: Applicants acknowledge that WSF will handle all data in accordance with its Privacy and Data Protection Policy. This policy ensures the secure and responsible use of the data submitted through the application process.
  • Use of Data: By submitting the application, applicants grant WSF the right to use the submitted data for processing the application, as well as for analytics and market intelligence purposes. This helps WSF improve its accreditation services and provide deeper insights into educational trends.
  • Consent for Communication: Applicants give permission to WSF to contact them via email and SMS regarding the status of their accreditation application, as well as to receive occasional marketing and communication materials related to WSF’s services, updates, and events.

After reviewing all the provided information and documents, you can submit your application. Once submitted, no changes can be made to the form or documents.

Pay the accreditation fees associated with the level you have applied for.

  • You will be redirected to the payment portal, complete the transaction.
  • The submission will only be considered finalized after the successful payment of the fees.

On payment confirmation, your application will be officially submitted for review by the WSF Accreditation team.

Post the completion of application and the payment of requisite fees, applicants can access their personal dashboard to manage all details related to their WSF accreditation. The following items will be available on the dashboard:

  • WSF Communications: Any updates, notifications, and messages from WSF regarding the accreditation process.
  • Accreditation Certificates: Digital copies of the accreditation certificates awarded to the academics.
  • Badges and Insignias: Digital badges and insignias for use in marketing and communication materials to showcase the academies accreditation status.
  • Payment Records and Invoices: Full payment history, (invoices for accreditation fees and application related other financial transactions).

The personal dashboard allows applicants to easily track and manage their accreditation status, ensuring quick access to all relevant documents and communication from WSF.

1st Level - WSF Academy

Innovator Accredited Academy

  • Minimum 1 year of active STEM education implementation experience.
  • Sufficient STEM educational kits and resources to support extracurricular activities in K-12 educational institutes.
  • A minimum of 2-3 trained educators in STEM-related subjects.
  • Overview of the STEM program.
  • Photos or detailed descriptions of STEM activities.
  • List of schools/institutions where STEM programs were conducted.
  • Faculty profiles (names and qualifications).

WSF Accreditation fee : USD 500

2nd Level - WSF Academy

Leader Certified Academy

  • Minimum 3 year of continuous STEM education implementation experience.
  • A dedicated STEM lab with necessary resources and educational kits to support extracurricular STEM activities for K-12 students.
  • A minimum of 4-5 trained educators proficient in STEM-related subjects.
  • Participation in at least 2 recognized STEM competitions (including competition name, date, and location).
  • Overview of STEM program.
  • Photos and descriptions of STEM lab infrastructure and tools.
  • List of Schools and institutions where STEM activities were conducted.
  • Faculty / Mentor Profile (Name and Qualification).
  • Competition Details (Name, Date and Location).

WSF Accreditation fee : USD 650

3rd Level - WSF Academy

Premier Acredited Academy

  • Must be pre-accredited as a WSF STEM Accredited Academy.
  • Minimum 3 year of continuous STEM education implementation experience.
  • 2 to 3 dedicated STEM labs/training centre with on-site STEM resources and teaching kits.
  • At least 5-10 educators trained in STEM-related subjects.
  • Participation in at least 5 STEM competitions.
  • Current WSF Accreditation Membership number.
  • Overview of STEM programs.
  • Photos/descriptions of STEM lab/centre infrastructure.
  • List of schools/institutions where STEM activities were conducted.
  • Faculty/mentor profiles (names and qualifications).
  • Competition details (name, date, and location).

4th Level - WSF Academy

Excellence Accredited Academy

  • Must be pre-accredited as a WSF STEM Accredited Academy.
  • 3+ year of continuous STEM education implementation experience.
  • Fully integrated STEM curriculum with regular school courses or as a structured extracurricular program.
  • 4 to 5 dedicated STEM labs/training centers with on-site STEM resources and teaching kits.
  • 10-20 educators fully trained in STEM-related subjects.
  • Participation in at least 5 STEM competitions, including 1 international competition.
  • Current WSF Accreditation Membership number.
  • Overview of STEM programs.
  • Photos/descriptions of STEM lab/center infrastructure.
  • List of Schools and institutions where STEM activities were conducted.
  • Faculty / Mentor Profile details (Name and Qualification).
